Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to quotations, bookings and CCTV installation services provided by Y5 Security.

1. Quotations

  • An online quotation is an estimate based on the information you provide and is valid for the period stated on the quotation.
  • The quotation states the included work, exclusions and rates for additional charges. Work outside the scope requires your agreement before it is carried out.
  • Some premises require a site survey before the final price is confirmed.

2. Bookings and scheduling

  • The date you choose when booking is a preferred date and not a guarantee. The installation date is confirmed once the deposit is verified and an installer schedule is matched.
  • You are responsible for providing safe access to the premises and ensuring an adult representative is present.

3. Payment

  • A deposit is required to confirm the booking. The deposit is only considered received once it is confirmed by the payment gateway or checked by Y5 Security.
  • The balance must be paid according to the terms in the quotation.
  • Equipment remains the property of Y5 Security until full payment is received.

4. Cancellation and refunds

The deposit refund policy is as stated at payment and in your quotation. The cost of equipment purchased specifically for your project and work already performed may be deducted.

5. Installation

  • Installation is carried out by a Y5 Security approved installation partner according to the Work Order and Y5 specifications. Y5 Security remains your service provider.
  • Equipment models may be replaced with an equivalent model if stock is unavailable, with notice to you.

6. Acceptance and warranty

After installation and quality checks, you are asked to confirm the completed work. Warranty is subject to the Warranty Policy.

7. Limitation of liability

A CCTV system assists monitoring and recording but does not guarantee the prevention of theft, damage or other incidents. To the extent permitted by law, Y5 Security's liability is limited to the value of the work paid for the relevant project.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
